Laura Conyers Smith Municipal Rose Garden

Kansas City’s Municipal Rose Garden in Loose Park features over 3,000 roses of nearly 150 varieties on 1.5 acres. The garden is maintained through a partnership of the Kansas City Rose Society and the KC Parks and Recreation Department. The Kansas City Rose Society holds special events and educational demonstrations in the garden. 

Our Extension Master Gardener volunteers and other community volunteers work at the direction of the Kansas City Rose Society and the KC Parks and Receation Department to maintain the garden.
