About Us Our Mission

The mission of the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City is to provide horticultural information and training to the gardening public based on proven research specific to the local climate, soils, and plants.

The mission very simply is “Helping Others Learn to Grow”.

Ask the Experts Home Gardening Hotline

The Hotline provides free, unbiased research-based answers to home yard, garden and plant questions.

The public can call (816) 833-TREE or email mggkc.hotline@gmail.com 24/7. The volunteer coverage is Monday thru Friday (AM only) until October 31st.

Grow with Us Support MGGKC

A donation to MGGKC supports our community outreach, training, and community gardens. We supply the volunteers and your dollars help to fund our events and projects.
